GenSwiss Releases Redesigned Toolholding System
Its GenQuick quickchange ER system for Swiss-type CNC machines and precision machining equipment has been updated.
GenSwiss, a source for tools, accessories and assistance for small parts and Swiss-type CNC machining, offers its GenQuick branded quick change ER system for Swiss-type CNC machines and precision machining equipment. Base toolholder shanks are available from GenSwiss in diameters to suit most Swiss-type machine model’s ID working tool positions. They also work in conjunction with the GenQuick adaptors to make changing of drills, boring bars and other round shank tools easier for the machine operator.
GenQuick adaptors are available in ER16 to ER11 for drilling operations and in ER16 and ER20 for boring operations. All adaptors for boring operations have a locating pin for self-orienting the radial and axial positing of boring bars.
According to the company, the system offers fast setups and tool changes for seasoned veterans as well as new users. Additionally, tooling for each working shift can be preset using GenQuick adaptors and modules. Kennametal says this leads to a reduction in scrap rate caused by tool offset errors after a tool change.
